Location: Stockton-on-Tees, Durham International Study Centre

Salary: £34.50 per hour

The purpose of the role is to deliver highly effective modules at International Foundation Year (Pre Undergraduate, level 3) and Pre-Masters Programmes (Level 6) in the Centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Delivering modules (face-to-face) to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre and assisting with the development of modules.
  • Developing modules from module specifications, including schemes of learning along with appropriate development of learning resources.
  • Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Centre’s virtual learning environment (VLE).
  • Facilitating student access to the VLE.
  • Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
  • Providing, when required, academic learning support to a small number of students.
  • Participating in regular meetings with teaching and support staff.
  • Supporting various student engagement activities around the ISC.
  • Attending lectures given by Durham University to support student progression.
ABOUT YOU
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (essential)
  • A recognised teaching qualification (desirable)
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in a related subject area – Finance preference (essential)
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Teaching experience delivering Business programmes within a Sixth Form, Further Education or Higher Education context.
  • Experience of working with international students (desirable)
