Learning and Development Specialist/Coordinator
Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) – Permanent
Location: Remote (UK)

To provide high-quality programme management and administrative support for strategic staff development initiatives. This role ensures the smooth delivery, coordination, and scalability of initiatives offered by the L&D team by managing logistics, communications, data tracking, and platform support. It plays a critical role in enhancing the learning experience for participants and contributing to Study Group’s strategic goals for staff, manager and leadership development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Lead the coordination and delivery of a range of learning and development programmes
- Manage end-to-end logistics for workshops, mentoring, peer support groups, and online learning experiences across multiple time zones.
- Own scheduling, communications, and access to learning materials to ensure a seamless participant experience.
- Support the creation and delivery of new staff induction content and contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes.
- Administer and maintain learning platforms (e.g. My Development, Insendi), including setup, user access, content updates, and reporting.
- Promote learning and development activity through available channels to drive engagement and visibility.
- Provide first-line support via the shared mailboxes, delivering a consistently high standard of service to all staff.
- Track participant progress, feedback, and outcomes across programmes, supporting internal reviews and external reporting (e.g. to Advance HE).
- Develop and maintain scalable systems and processes to support the long-term growth and sustainability of L&D initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in an administrative role preferably within education or HR environment
- Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality customer service, including managing enquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- Experience managing coordinating, planning or scheduling and communicating across multiple time zones / stakeholder groups / cultures.
- Experience in collecting, analysing, and reporting data to inform decision-making and/or drive continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Understanding of learning and development principles and practices,
- Ability to analyse and report on data to support continuous improvement.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Passionate about staff development and creating positive learning experiences.
