Contract type: Variable Hours – Permanent

Location: Kingston upon Thames, Kingston International Study Centre.

Salary: £33.57 per hour

To deliver highly effective modules across one or all of the courses at Kingston ISC, working at the following levels: Foundation (Level 3); International Year 2 (Level 5); and Pre Masters (Level 6).

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Contribute to the delivery and development of modules and teaching sessions offered by Kingston ISC.
  • Prepare and deliver seminar and tutorial sessions, with a variable teaching load of up to 25 hours per week.
  • Prepare module tests and assessments, and mark student submissions, providing timely feedback and writing regular reports and tutorials.
  • Develop and update course materials, including content for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Assist the Centre’s Operations team with induction, orientation, and registration programs.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure students receive ongoing welfare and progression support.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures and contribute to course monitoring and review.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
  • Participate in quality assurance meetings, standardisation, and moderation activities.
  • Engage in regular meetings with staff to support programme and student management.
  • Keep records of teaching activities and participate in training and development.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Centre Director or Deputy Centre Director.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor\’s degree (Essential)
  • Teaching qualification (Essential)
  • Qualified to DELTA / ELT equivalent (Essential)
  • Masters and/or PGCE (Desirable)
  • Experience teaching in UK higher or further education, especially with international students.
  • EAP experience for English teachers.
