The Accounting and Finance Tutor will teach on modules in the Business and Economics Team. ABOUT THE ROLE Deliver our Accounting and Finance provision, teaching groups of international students across our Level 3 and/or Level 6 programmes. Our class sizes are on average between 18-20 students. Undertake marking and provide feedback on a formative and summative basis. Coordinate the Accounting and Finance module or related modules within the team; this will involve leading a team of tutors and ensuring that module materials are kept up to date. Develop and enhance teaching materials to ensure effective and smooth delivery of the module. Create formative and summative assessments. Set up and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the Management module. Engage fully with the college’s quality assurance procedures, such as quality checking assessments and double marking exam scripts. Work as part of a busy team, contributing in meetings and communicating effectively with colleagues. ABOUT YOU Experience of teaching in Accounting & Finance disciplines in UK Higher Education, Further Education, Sixth form, or equivalent teaching experience in a related field. A PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant subject is required to teach on the pre-masters programmes. We would accept a final year PhD student. Relevant postgraduate qualifications can be considered. Experience of teaching Management at RQF level 6 (Desirable). Experience of assessment marking at a minimum of RQF level 3 or above (at least A-level/ Foundation level). Experience in writing assessments at a minimum of RQF level 3. Ability to teach on other modules within the college, e.g., Management, Economics, Project Skills. Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc.). Ability to work within a Virtual Learning Environment (e.g., Blackboard). Ability to use digital tools in teaching (e.g., polling software such as WooClap or Mentimeter) – Desirable.
