Salary: £34.50 per hour
The purpose of the role is to deliver highly effective modules at International Foundation Year (Pre Undergraduate, level 3) and Pre-Masters Programmes (Level 6) in the Centre.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Delivering modules (face-to-face) to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre and assisting with the development of modules.
- Developing modules from module specifications, including schemes of learning along with appropriate development of learning resources.
- Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Centre's virtual learning environment (VLE).
- Facilitating student access to the VLE.
- Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
- Providing, when required, academic learning support to a small number of students.
- Participating in regular meetings with teaching and support staff.
- Supporting various student engagement activities around the ISC.
- Attending lectures given by Durham University to support student progression.
ABOUT YOU
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (essential).
- A recognised teaching qualification (desirable).
- A Master's degree or equivalent in a related subject area - Finance preference (essential).
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Teaching experience delivering Business programmes within a Sixth Form, Further Education or Higher Education context.
- Experience of working with international students (desirable).
