The University of Sheffield International College and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Sheffield.
The Academic Tutor (Physics) will deliver high-quality education within the Science team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for teaching the Foundation Level Physics module.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Deliver Academic Provision: Teach groups of international students at RQF Level 3 (International Foundation Year) with an average class size of 18–20 students.
- Module Delivery Support: Effectively deliver the Physics module, working in seminar and laboratory classes alongside teaching and support staff.
- Assessment Feedback: Undertake formative and summative marking and provide constructive feedback on a variety of student assessments.
- Module Coordination: Act as Module Coordinator where required; this may include leading a small teaching team, performing quality assurance checks on marking, and updating module materials.
- Quality Assurance: Engage fully with the college’s quality assurance processes.
