Salary: £33.57 per hour
Academic English Tutors' primary role is to deliver high quality learning opportunities in English Language and Academic Skills to students on Study Group’s Academic and English Skills (AES) modules and on the University of Bath’s pre-sessional and in-sessional English courses. Timetabled teaching hours for a full time Tutor will be up to 25 hours per week.
Tutors will work as part of an academic team at the International Study Centre (ISC) to ensure the effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with Study Group’s Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy. Tutors will also contribute directly to student support and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the centre.
As a tutor, you will contribute to the design, development and production of teaching and learning materials and delivery across a range of modules or within a subject area.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Plan, prepare for and deliver high quality teaching sessions that follow an agreed module specification and scheme of work.
- Develop and update course materials including for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
- Prepare and/or administer formative and summative assessment.
