Overview
Studley Ltd. is a well-established electrical contractor delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Liverpool and take responsibility for managing a diverse range of electrical projects from inception to completion.
The Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for coordinating teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with all relevant UK regulations.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges.
- Supervising and mentoring a team of electrical engineers, electricians, and apprentices, providing guidance and support.
- Ensuring effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Collaborating with the design team to create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Reviewing and approving design changes and modifications.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on complex electrical engineering issues.
- Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and quality checks.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory legislation, particularly PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER, and DSEAR.
About You
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- A Level 3 City & Guilds qualification or an equivalent degree in electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical project engineering and management.
- Demonstrable experience delivering small to large scale projects within one or more of the following sectors:
- Oil & Gas
- Nuclear
- Food & Beverage Manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical codes, BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, HSE legislation, CDM, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
