The Role:
Studio XAG is looking for freelance Senior 3D Designers to help deliver impact and wow for our clients through engaging storytelling in windows, permanent retail spaces, digital experiences, and pop-ups with beautiful, high calibre and considered design. Reporting into one of our Associate Design Directors, you will be supporting a large-sized design team of 15 in a vibrant, exciting, and creative environment. You will have the opportunity to work with great brands on interesting projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of 3D design experience in an agency or for a luxury/fashion brand.
- Experience working in a retail design team and/or architecture team.
- Knowledge and experience of all things to do with creative retail, permanent store design, window displays, pop-up shops, events, and activations.
- An expert creative eye, with the skills to generate engaging narrative and creative concepts to help reinforce brand messages and sell specific products.
- Proven experience of designing mid to large sized permanent retail projects from concept to creation with an emphasis on creating exclusive, high-caliber retail experiences.
Skills & Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge of Sketchup & Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & rendering software (ideally V Ray).
- Knowledge/experience working with 3D Modelling software is beneficial e.g. C4D/Rhino or other digital platforms (Spark AR, Unreal etc.).
- Able to confidently build 360 brand experiences: (narrative and concept that reaches all core touchpoints physical and digital).
- Creatively responding to client briefs, creating concepts through mood boards and sketch ideas to clearly articulate brand vision and messaging.
- Researching from diverse sources, including current and future industry trends, to pull together inspiring references that inform project direction.
- A broad understanding of luxury brand aesthetics, tone of voice, and brand positioning.
- Confident presenting to management and clients, with a talent for storytelling through brilliant design.
- Collaborating with the StudioXAG team to support fully-realised creative visions, and successfully handing over the design process to our Projects, Production, and Technical Teams.
- Able to confidently brief, review and approve technical designs that meet the creative requirements. Producing dimensioned specification packs showing design intent, to handover to the technical design team.
- An understanding of a range of materials, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Taking ownership of given projects, competently planning and executing effective workflows, with prioritisation of key/bigger tasks.
Benefits
Location: We are open to remote or hybrid candidates to work when needed from our studios in East London, E10 7QE. Our normal working hours are 9am - 6pm.
