About Studiomade

We’re Studiomade, a strategic creative agency helping businesses launch new ventures, pivot, and thrive. Founded in 2010, we work with ambitious organisations across healthcare, finance, and technology to shape brands, build digital products, launch ventures, and bring propositions to life.

About the role

We’re looking for a talented and creative Mid‑Level Designer to join our established team, working fully remote. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex design challenges and creating thoughtful, user‑centred digital experiences. You’ll play a key role in shaping brands, products, and ventures that we create – from early concept through to polished delivery. Experience or interest in finance, technology, and healthcare sectors is highly beneficial, as many of our projects sit within these markets.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing intuitive and engaging user experiences for digital products, websites, and applications
  • Creating high‑quality UI designs grounded in strong UX principles
  • Leading and contributing to concept‑led design work, translating creative ideas into compelling visual and interaction design solutions
  • Interpreting and applying brand guidelines to ensure consistency across creative outputs
  • Taking design thinking and ideas into creative executions that present a vision to a client
  • Building brands with inspiring design ideas created as part of the overall brand process
  • Working on projects within finance, technology, and healthcare contexts, balancing user needs with regulatory and accessibility considerations
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders
  • Producing wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs in Figma
  • Iterating on designs based on feedback, research, and testing insights

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience across both UI/UX and creative design with a portfolio that reflects both thinking and execution
  • Experience in concept‑led design for digital products (including websites)
  • Solid understanding of user‑centred design principles and best practices
  • Ability to interpret and work within brand guidelines while elevating digital experiences
  • High proficiency in Figma (essential)
  • Ability to work across a range of design challenges (our project briefs can have a wide range of needs from brand development to digital product strategy, research, and design)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote working environment
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high‑quality work
  • Ability to attend studio and client meetings on request (usually London‑based)
  • Enjoyment of team socialising and being happy to travel to meet up when planned

Nice to have

  • Experience of working in agile or product‑led teams
  • Strong familiarity with design systems and component libraries
  • Knowledge of front‑end development/design frameworks (e.g. Tailwind, MaterialUI)
  • Experience conducting or contributing to user research and usability testing
  • Experience designing across finance, healthcare, or other regulated industries
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG), particularly relevant to healthcare and finance

What we offer

  • Fully remote working environment with flexible hours
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Occasional in‑person team social gatherings
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Private medical insurance
  • Competitive salary

How to apply

Please submit your CV along with a portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX, brand, and digital product work. We’re especially interested in the detailing of your process, from concept through to final execution as well as any work within finance, technology, and healthcare contexts. Please note: We are looking to add both a permanent role and expand our freelance partnership opportunities. No agencies please.
