Studiocanal Kids & Family is a full-service international IP development agency and consultancy offering strategic worldwide brand development, licensing and retail expertise. Studiocanal Kids & Family is also part of the Studiocanal group, its most famous IP being Paddington Bear. Marketreach is the B2C branch of Studiocanal Kids & Family – we currently run a store at Paddington Station (open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm), another at the Savoy for the Musical and a Paddington online shop store.
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, data-driven, results-oriented E-commerce and Retail Manager based in London to be part of the retail division. Reporting to the VP Retail, you will be responsible for:
- Retail & E-Commerce Expertise: Strong understanding of omnichannel retail operations, including both physical store and online store management; experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, other pure players); knowledge of digital merchandising, product lifecycle online, and customer journey optimization.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including store staff and digital teams; strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with marketing, IT, logistics, and HR; experience in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Strong focus on customer experience, both in-store and online; ability to implement and monitor customer service standards across channels; understanding of UX/UI principles for e-commerce platforms.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze sales data, KPIs, and customer behaviour to inform decisions; tracking consumer journey and optimizing conversion; proficiency in forecasting, inventory planning, and demand analysis; strategic mindset to align retail and e-commerce goals with broader business objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Experience in process optimisation, logistics coordination, and supply chain management; familiarity with loss prevention strategies and compliance procedures; ability to manage day-to-day operations efficiently, including reporting and audits; understanding of digital marketing channels; ability to coordinate online campaigns and promotions with retail events; familiarity with conversion rate optimisation and cart abandonment strategies.
- Technical & Tools Proficiency: Comfortable using retail POS systems, ERP tools, and e-commerce CMS; proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and reporting dashboards; knowledge of compliance tools and documentation (e.g., RAMS).
- Organisational & Time Management: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and outlets simultaneously; ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in e-commerce retail, preferably in the IP industry or an entertainment group.
- Solid commercial and retail acumen & vision.
- Strong interest in the brand.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and e-commerce tracking tools; excellent analytical skills; proficiency with CRM software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and how they impact online sales.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Transparency, open-mindedness, and team-player attitude.
