A two-month gig just came in, starting in September working with a global events agency. They are looking for a conceptual Designer to support the Creative Director, who can develop the core creative idea and understand what makes a great event. Whether you're a passionate Junior looking for a place to truly develop your conceptual voice and build on your early agency experience, or a Midweight ready to take ownership of your ideas, we care most about your imagination, storytelling ability, and passion for live events.
This role focuses more on experiential conceptualising across multi-sensory spaces, therefore thinking of the attendee journey from start to finish across 2D, 3D, motion, VR etc.
Based: Full-time. Based in Central London 3 days a week with 2 days remote. Day rate: Outside IR35, £280-290 per day ideally (with some flex). When: 1st September for 2 months.
You'll join a busy creative team to support on pitches and live projects with idea generation, concepting and visual content. You'll be adept in key Adobe software (some combination of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), but this isn't primarily a design role: we need a thinker who can design, rather than a designer who sometimes contributes other ideas.
You might be thinking through an end-to-end guest journey, helping to create an overall strategic platform or creative event concept, defining the visual aesthetic for a live experience or imagining a product activation. You'll be using AI as a tool and springboard for better creative, not a crutch or replacement for real thinking and inspiration. You'll understand (or are keen to learn) how humans move through physical spaces and how to create unforgettable, irresistibly shareable moments.
What you'll be doing:
- Cracking and unpacking briefs: Brainstorming and developing core creative hooks, spatial layouts, and digital/physical moments.
- Pitching: Helping to shape the narrative of our proposals and clearly communicating ideas to the internal team and external clients.
Please apply with a relevant folio of conceptual events work.
