The Position

We are looking for an experienced Sommelier to join our Wine team at The Barbary Notting Hill.

You will work alongside the Head Sommelier to deliver an exceptional dining experience, advising our guests on their pairing choices, and training our FOH & Bar teams to develop their wine knowledge with everyday tastings.

You will get to work with 300 bins, an exciting blend of well-known artisans from around the world as well as newcomers from Central Europe and the New World.

  • Curious and eager to learn all there is to know about the cuisine of the North African Coast through to Southern Europe.

You’ll be supported with solid, ongoing training to help you develop your knowledge of these new flavours.

  • Passionate about detailed hospitality, guest experience and dedicated to exceptionally high standards of service.

Previous experience working the floor in a similar restaurant environment is essential and will set you up for success at The Barbary Notting Hill.

  • Well-versed in the world of wine with at least a WSET Level 2.

You'll be curious to learn more and be supported by our excellent team who will help you develop your skills and knowledge.

The Restaurant

Featuring a reimagining of the iconic Barbary horseshoe kitchen counter, the 75-cover affair will also include a dining room and dedicated cocktail bar, as we bring the Barbarian experience to the Notting Hill neighbourhood.

The menu finds its origins in the beloved elemental cooking of The Barbary, whilst breaking new ground to offer an elevated dining experience.
