The Product Development Assistant supports the Product Development team across the end-to-end product development process, from initial prototypes and SMS through to production handover. The role requires strong organisational and administrative skills, alongside a proactive, collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
This is a full-time role based at our London office
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Administration

Manage shipments to and from vendors, including packing lists, tracking and delivery records, and flagging delays.

Maintain and update critical paths for womenswear and menswear, including fabric ex-mill dates, sample shipping dates, tracking information, sample costs and confirmed ratings.

Coordinate model bookings for meetings and fittings.
- Supported the wider Product Development team with seasonal administration and information management.
PLM / Zedonk

Ensure accurate and timely population of product data in PLM in line with seasonal milestones.

Create POs for prototypes and SMS, book samples upon receipt and update confirmed sample costs.

Manage trims and linings within Zedonk and support accurate BOM creation in partnership with the Fabric Developer.
Sample Management

Coordinate sample management across development and production, maintaining accurate records of samples held internally and at vendors.
- Prepare samples for collection reviews, creative reviews, sales handover and production fittings.
Technical & Fitting Support

Set up and maintain tech packs with key style information and sketches.
- Support fittings by preparing samples, confirming models, photographing samples, and recording fit and development notes.
Vendor Management

Respond to vendor queries relating to prototype and sample launches where appropriate.
Trim & Lining Development

Build SMS zip orders, matching colours and working with the Pattern Team to confirm zip lengths.

Place sampling zip orders with relevant suppliers and factories and track delivery.

Manage development trim stock across suppliers, factories and in-house.
- Support the development and sourcing of new trims in response to product requirements, working closely with the Fabric Developer
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through.
- Strong interest in fashion product development and understanding of the product development process.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
