Overview
We are seeking a Design Assistant to support the design team at Studio Nicholson. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral member of a small, focused design team working at a high level across all aspects of the creative and development process.
Responsibilities

Support the design team throughout the full lifecycle of collections from concept to final development.

Produce detailed and accurate technical flat drawings and colour renderings.

Manage and maintain all CAD outputs, ensuring correct formatting for technical packs, sales tools, and line sheets.

Prepare clear and visually strong presentation boards and documents for internal and cross-department meetings.

Attend fittings and sign-off meetings; ensure all relevant materials (sketches, boards, line sheets) are consistently updated.

Conduct seasonal design research based on design briefs.

Provide hands-on support in the pattern room during busy periods, including draping, cutting, and toile construction.

Take ownership of meeting and fitting preparation – including steaming, pressing, and garment presentation.

Support Lookbook, Campaign, and E-commerce shoots as required.

Requirements

Degree in Fashion Design (BA or MA).

Previous experience in a comparable design studio or internship.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
