We are looking for a versatile individual who can balance front-end development with engaging digital design work. Joining our five-strong team in Shoreditch, London, you will work on component-based web applications using Nuxt, while also contributing to the conceptualisation and delivery of design solutions. This role leans slightly more towards development but requires a strong design sensibility. Working under the guidance of senior developers and designers, you will collaborate closely with the team and clients, transforming concepts into production-ready interfaces. You may also occasionally explore areas outside of your core responsibilities to meet diverse client needs. Requirements A strong portfolio showcasing projects from concept to delivery. 1 – 2 years of experience working in a design studio environment. Experience translating UI designs into maintainable, production-ready code, applying accessibility standards, performance optimisation, and SEO best practices. Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience consuming data from GraphQL or REST APIs. Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to clearly articulate ideas to both the team and clients. Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket), combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. A contemporary design sensibility, with particular interest in interactive principles and meticulous attention to detail. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with front-end technologies. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and deliver component-based web applications using Nuxt. Work directly with clients to understand requirements and propose creative strategies, while developing high-quality designs for digital, branding, and print projects. Collaborate closely with developers and the design team to ensure smooth handover, address technical limitations, and keep projects on track. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that aligns with industry standards. Participate in studio-wide conversations about projects, including those outside your direct responsibilities, and document design processes and deliverables for internal and client-facing use. Identify and resolve front-end issues during development and in production. Contribute to improving internal tools, workflows, and processes. Nice-to-haves Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less). Experience with motion design software (e.g., After Effects, Cavalry). Familiarity with TypeScript for enhanced code maintainability and type safety. A systematic approach to design, considering scalability and adaptability. Experience with branching strategies and code reviews in Git-based workflows. Willingness to learn new skills, tools, and technologies. Familiarity with managing environment variables and build-time configurations. Location This is a studio-based role in Shoreditch, London, within a unique converted Victorian school building set in private grounds. A cover letter detailing your suitability for the role is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
