Studio Jo Cowen and Cowen+Partners is hiring a junior graphic designer to join its team in London.
About us
Studio Jo Cowen and Cowen+Partners are a London-based architecture and design practice working across residential, commercial, and cultural projects. We are a close-knit, busy studio where good ideas and careful presentation matter.
The role
You will work closely with our architectural and project teams, supporting the creation of high-quality visual content across a range of formats and platforms. This is a hands‑on, varied role with real responsibility from day one. The position is available on an employed or freelance basis, working 3–5 days per week from our London studio.
Key responsibilities
- Design and production: design and produce proposals, reports, presentations, and client documents to a high standard; create and maintain branded templates in InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and other digital formats; support the preparation of planning and marketing documents; produce graphics, diagrams, and visual assets for project use.
- Brand and marketing: assist in developing and applying brand guidelines across both studios; support the creation of marketing materials, brochures, and promotional content; maintain visual consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Social media and digital: create engaging content for Instagram and other social channels; schedule and manage posts in line with a content calendar; help grow and maintain the studios’ online presence.
- Photography and image editing: edit and retouch images using Adobe Photoshop; select and source imagery appropriate to each project and audience; support with site photography coordination where required; video creation on sites and completed projects (iPhone led).
About you
Essential: qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign; confident working in Canva for fast‑turnaround social and document content; strong eye for layout, typography, and visual detail; experience creating or managing Instagram content would be helpful; excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; a collaborative, proactive attitude with good communication skills.
Desirable: experience working within an architecture, interiors, or design studio; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or After Effects; basic video editing or motion graphics skills; interest in architecture, the built environment, or property.
What we offer
