How to prepare for a job interview at Studio Jayga Architects
✨Know Your Projects Inside Out
Before the interview, make sure you can discuss your previous projects in detail, especially those that align with mid-to-high-end residential schemes. Be ready to explain your role in each project, the challenges you faced, and how you overcame them.
✨Brush Up on Technical Skills
Since strong technical detailing skills are a must, review your knowledge of UK Building Regulations and be prepared to discuss how you've applied these in past projects. Familiarise yourself with Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, as you may be asked about your proficiency in these tools.
✨Show Off Your Communication Skills
As communication is key in architecture, practice articulating your design ideas clearly and confidently. Prepare to present your work visually, as strong graphic presentation skills will be crucial in showcasing your designs effectively during the interview.
✨Be Ready for Site Experience Questions
If you have site experience, think of specific examples where you made an impact. If not, consider how you would approach site-related challenges and demonstrate your understanding of the construction process. This shows your readiness to engage with all stages of a project.
