What is Studio Giggle? Established in 2006, Studio Giggle has been creating award-winning content for nearly two decades. Based in our studio in The Paintworks in Bristol, we specialise in designing and producing interactive, immersive and extraordinary events. In addition, our wonderful team also creates animated and filmed content for global brands and their communication and marketing campaigns.
Studio Culture: We are a small, tight-knit team of curious creatives. We work on creative technical projects. This could be a complex event installation; a new way of creating streaming events; a real-time generated XR studio environment, or simply a beautiful explainer animation. Most of our work is animation or mixed media, motion graphics and film. All our work is technically very advanced. Position Overview: Working closely with our CEO, Managing Director and Board to deliver an effective business and creative events operation with a high level of service for our clients. The Events Director will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all Studio Giggleβs events. This role is pivotal in ensuring our events are creatively outstanding, technically flawless, and strategically aligned with our business goals. You will work closely with the leadership team, clients, and internal departments to deliver high-impact experiences that reflect our brand and values.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Event Strategy & Delivery: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of Studio Giggle client events. Develop client briefs into innovative event concepts and experiences. Ensure all events meet creative, technical, and operational standards. Oversee timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for each event. Collaborate with production, creative, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Operational & Finances: Manage event budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability. Ensure Studio operations are run in a highly effective way. Oversee third-party suppliers and negotiate contracts. Ensure compliance with health and safety, legal, and regulatory requirements. Continuously improve event processes and workflows.
- Account & Project Direction: Act as a key point of contact for event clients. Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Lead project briefings, approvals, and post-event evaluations. Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams including producers, designers, and visual artists. Ensure a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Conduct regular check-ins and reviews with team members. Support professional development and encourage innovation. Deliver operational efficiency within the studio.
- Business Development & Brand Representation: Represent Studio Giggle at industry events and networking opportunities. Support the leadership team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Contribute to proposals, pitches, and marketing initiatives. Act as a brand champion, promoting our values and creative capabilities.
