As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting our Chef in carrying out all delegated tasks in all areas of the kitchen's responsibility and maintaining a very high standard of hygiene and dress.
Main Duties And Responsibilities:- To ensure that all areas of the kitchen are clean and tidy at all times.
- To ensure that all equipment is thoroughly washed.
- To ensure that the best economic use is made of material issued to you.
- To report all defects, damage, and breakages to the chef/assistant cook.
- To assist in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties.
- To assist with the preparation of vegetables, sandwiches etc.
- To ensure the kitchen and ancillary rooms are cleaned thoroughly as per the cleaning schedule.
- To work at times in other areas other than your normal place of employment as required.
- At all times your uniform is to be clean and well-ironed and well-presented.
- Pension scheme and 28 days holiday which includes bank holidays, plus an additional day off for your birthday and length of service holiday increase.
