Life Property Construction is looking for an experienced multi-skilled Site Operative to join our growing team, working on a range of care-sector projects including care homes, GP surgeries, hospitals and other healthcare environments.
The Role
You will be working on live and completed care projects, carrying out general maintenance, refurbishment and small works to a high standard, often in occupied buildings where professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a wide range of multi-trade works including tiling, flooring, carpentry/joinery, basic plumbing, plastering and making-good, decorating, finishing and mastic.
- Completing tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Working respectfully and considerately in sensitive care environments.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, managers, clients and care staff.
- Travelling between sites as required.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled operative or similar role.
- Relevant trade qualifications.
- Competent in tiling, carpentry, basic plumbing and decorating, with the ability to problem solve in each of these trades.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship, both practically and administratively.
- Reliable, punctual and professional at all times.
- Willing to undertake Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience working in care homes, hospitals or healthcare settings.
- Competent with use of construction project management software by tablet or phone.
- Certificates in Asbestos Awareness, First Aid, SSSTS, Fire Door Installation.
