Weekend and weekday shifts available. Help people discover that fitness can be enjoyable. At Studio35, we're changing the way people experience the gym. We don't work with elite athletes or bodybuilders. We help ordinary people who may have never felt comfortable in a gym before. Many of our members arrive feeling nervous, lacking confidence or believing exercise simply isn't for them. Our role is to help change that.
Studio35 is a multi award winning health and wellness concept, recognised by UK Active as a best practice example of a facility designed specifically for gym novices. Our members follow a simple, safe and fully supported 35 minute circuit, improving their strength, confidence and overall wellbeing in a welcoming and non intimidating environment.
Following an exceptional launch and an outstanding response from our local community, we are looking for enthusiastic Fitness Coaches to join our growing team. If you're passionate about helping people, enjoy building relationships and want to make a genuine difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
This is far more than supervising a gym floor. As a Fitness Coach, you will become a familiar face to our members, helping them feel welcomed, supported and motivated every time they visit. You will coach members through the Studio35 circuit, celebrate their achievements, build their confidence and help create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of their age, fitness level or previous experience. You will also welcome prospective members, carry out studio tours and consultations, respond to enquiries and play an important role in the continued growth of the studio. This is a part time position with weekday and weekend shifts available. It would suit someone looking for weekend work only or a combination of weekday and weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Coach and support members throughout their Studio35 sessions
- Deliver inductions and fitness consultations
- Build genuine relationships that encourage members to stay engaged and achieve their goals
- Welcome prospective members and conduct studio tours
- Respond to membership enquiries and confidently discuss and sell membership options via phone, email and face to face
- Support local marketing initiatives and community events
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming studio environment
- Work closely with the team to deliver an exceptional member experience
About you
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people succeed. You will:
- Hold a minimum Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
- Be friendly, approachable and naturally encouraging
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities
- Be passionate about improving people's health, confidence and wellbeing
- Be reliable, proactive and enjoy working as part of a close team
Previous experience in a gym, leisure, health or customer service environment would be an advantage, but personality, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help people are just as important.
Why join Studio35?
- Be part of an exciting new studio with ambitious plans for growth
- Help people make life changing improvements to their health and confidence
- Build meaningful relationships with members rather than simply supervising a gym floor
- Work in a supportive team where your ideas and contribution are genuinely valued
- Receive ongoing training and development
- Grow with the business as new opportunities become available
If you're looking for more than just another fitness job and want to be part of something that's making a real difference in the local community, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short covering letter explaining why you would be a great fit for the Studio35 team.
