We are looking for a talented and capable 3D artist to join us as there is an opportunity to work alongside the Studio 316 team to assist us with the creation of 3D models for our latest upcoming title. This person will play a key role in helping our team deliver a high quality video game to over 100,000 wishlisters. Working closely with the rest of the team, you will participate in the design and creation of 3D models focusing mainly on Vehicles and world props. The role is on a 12 month contract basis, with the potential to extend based on studio needs.

Work Pattern: Full Time (35 Hours/week - 12 Month contract with potential to extend)

Salary Range: £25,000-£27,000 Per Annum

What you will be up to:

  • You will be working alongside our Art team in order to create a range of 3D models.
  • Be part of the concepting, design and modeling of 3D vehicle and prop assets.
  • Creating game ready assets, with textures and optimised topology to integrate into the game.
  • Anticipate, identify and articulate potential issues or problem areas within project developments in the context of 3D art and model creation.
  • Maintaining a high level of development standards and improving your practises.

What we are looking for:

  • A kind and motivated person first and foremost.
  • Great demonstrable experience with Blender and/or other 3D modeling software.
  • Great demonstrable skills including but not limited to, sculpting, hard surface modelling, UV wrapping, texturing, rigging and retopology.
  • Great demonstrable understanding of the 3D model creation pipeline for video games.
  • A good understanding of the process for creating assets for Unreal Engine.
  • A great team player capable of working with a dynamic team.
  • A keen problem solver with a creative mind for finding solutions.

Bonus Points if:

  • You have a good understanding of shaders in Unreal Engine and the layered material workflow.
  • You have experience with animation blueprints / skeletal meshes / physics assets in Unreal Engine.
  • You have a strong understanding and passion for vehicles and their mechanics.
