Our specialist division, FCM Meetings and Events, are looking for the newest member of their Meetings team. This team are our resident experts when it comes to finding the right places, spaces and solutions for our clients.
About this opportunity
As a Sourcing & Meeting Manager you will be expected to provide exceptional service to your dedicated client portfolio. Demonstrating passion, knowledge and commitment, with common and business sense. The successful candidate will have experience as a consultant, or in customer service dealing with a variety of clients, be an excellent communicator, be self-motivated, with current knowledge of the M&E industry.
Accountabilities:
- Customer Service - 45%
- Understand the value of the customer and how to offer exceptional & proactive customer service to all M&E clients.
- Venue sourcing and Group needs and how to deliver to exceptional standard.
- Always meet M&E SLA’s for response and turnaround times.
- Ability to handle service issues in a courteous enthusiastic manner.
- Thrive under pressure with a high level of organisational skills.
- The ability to multi-task effectively, delivering both to our clients and our suppliers within timelines agreed.
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to listen and interpret customers' requirements correctly and deliver on these.
- Ability to communicate in a clear jargon-free manner with customer, supplier and internally.

- Negotiation with Suppliers - 10%
- Build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate on behalf of the FCM M&E customer (for the best offering and best price for the client).
- Help grow our supplier network and contacts.

Experience required:
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills - Essential.
- Venue Sourcing or relevant industry experience - Essential.
- A knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations (CVENT) - Essential.
- Is efficient in using the Microsoft Office suite - Essential.
