The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.
The SRFU Hon. Treasurer has specific financial responsibilities as outlined below and in addition is a member of the SRFU Board of Trustees.
1. To maintain proper records of the financial transactions on behalf of the SRFU (in Xero) and they are kept in accordance with relevant legislation.
2. To ensure the accounting is up to date on a monthly basis.
To prepare the final end of year accounts of the SRFU for audit or external examination and to submit the audited accounts for approval by the Trustee Board and to the Annual General Meeting.
4. To ensure the SRFU is run on a sound financial footing and to advise on all financial matters affecting the Constituent Body.
5. To obtain advice on financial matters outside their expertise.
6. To provide monthly income and expenditure figures against agreed budgets for Trustee Board meetings.
7. To be a signatory to all the SRFU’s bank accounts in accordance with the governing documents and to authorise expenditure payments.
8. To ensure strict compliance with the SRFU’s financial policies as specified in the governing documents (reserves policy, expenses, tickets).
9. To ensure the payment of salaries, PAYE, National Insurance contributions, Statutory Sick Pay and expenses are in line with policy and statutory requirements.
10. To advise on Charity Law and, where appropriate, Company Law relating to financial matters and support the Company Secretary in filing accounts and returns.

To advise the Chairperson on effective budgeting and to oversee the production of budgets for presentation to the Trustee Board prior to the commencement of the new financial year.
12. To represent the SRFU as directed by the Chairperson or Trustee Board and to report back as appropriate.
13. To chair the advisory groups, subcommittees or working groups to address specific issues / tasks as requested by the Chairperson and deemed appropriate by the Trustee Board.
14. To attend the SRFU events and activities as directed by the Trustee Board.
15. To participate in relevant training as appropriate.
16. Make fellow board members aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them.
