Location: The Boulevard, York

Salary: £13,988.00 per annum (£13.45 per hour)

Hours: Average of 20 hours per week, working 3 days out of 7, between 8am and 8pm.

About Student Roost

Student living is about so much more than just a room, it’s about feeling at home. As a caretaker at Student Roost, you are involved in all aspects of building maintenance, from carrying out small repairs to escorting third-party contractors to any issues within your building. You will also take the lead on compliance checks with your keen eye for detail and precise reporting skills. And just as you care for our buildings and the people within them, we’ll take care of you.

  • Health & Safety and Compliance Checks
  • Reactive Maintenance repairs
  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Redecoration
  • Using Tech to assist in reporting and compliance
  • Debt Management
  • Escorting Third-Party contractors

  • Confident providing exceptional resident experience through tackling maintenance head on

  • Tech savvy – ability to learn new systems quickly and comfortable using mobile apps to process information
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable with following process, with a dedication to Health and Safety
  • Resilient, with the ability to get stuck in with messy jobs such as drain blockages and bin store management.
  • Solutions orientated, with the ability to think on your feet.

Electrical training will be provided however any additional maintenance qualifications are welcomed, but not essential.
