Night Owl – Customer Service Advisor 20:00 – 08:00 Student Accommodation
Location: Swanston House property, Belfast.
Hours: 42 hours a week. Salary: £28,610.40 per annum.
We are looking for a full-time permanent customer service advisor working 4 days on, 4 days off between 8pm & 8am. The Night Owl will become a key part of our friendly and experienced property team, delivering exceptional student support round‑the‑clock.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for residents between 8pm and 8am, handling enquiries, maintenance reports and parcel collection.
- Run late‑night room viewings and facilitate early‑morning outreach to prospective students.
- Support the Assistant Manager by ordering stock and managing the property’s inventory.
- Collect payments on behalf of residents, ensuring high levels of attention to detail.
- Conduct first‑class room inspections and highlight sensitive issues.
- Organise social events for residents, including marketing, set‑up and take‑down.
- Provide a warm welcome for prospective new residents, mastering the perfect viewing of individual rooms and the building as a whole.
- Gather resident feedback, using it to suggest new ideas, events and services to the wider team.
- Create an environment where residents feel confident raising concerns about our properties or our practices.
- Act as the first fix for routine maintenance concerns, handling common reports such as lightbulb replacement or trip switch resetting.
- Work closely with the wider team to deliver an enhanced resident experience, supporting property cleanliness and ad‑hoc manager tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- People person with a passion for delivering excellent customer service at all hours.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and to adapt to a 4 days on, 4 days off rota.
- Basic DBS check and DBS background as part of pre‑employment checks.
- Competence in handling complex psychological matters is required; only appropriate candidates should apply.
