Assistant Operations Manager – Student Accommodation
We are looking for someone to join our team on a fixed‑term basis of 9 months, working full time 5 days out of 7 between 8am & 8pm. The new Assistant Operations Manager will be a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Home Park property in Bournemouth.

About the Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the day‑to‑day experience of our residents, ensuring accommodation runs smoothly, safely and with a personal touch. You’ll lead and support a team of front‑line staff, set the tone for service excellence and foster a culture of accountability, care and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management of onsite departments and bring the team together.
- Set a high standard of service across all interactions.
- Drive sales and marketing initiatives to achieve financial results.
- Build relationships with team members, third‑party contractors and universities.
- Maintain a safety‑first approach, ensuring compliance with all statutory, legal and moral obligations.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience and keep the physical appearance of properties at a high standard.
- Assist in achieving full occupancy and manage the property’s financial performance.
- Develop and guide the team, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
- Act as the subject expert on day‑to‑day building operations, ensuring residents receive excellent support.
- Collaborate with finance, people, health and safety, marketing and procurement teams.
