Role Overview
The SAC advises on Student Minds’ initiatives, bringing the voices and lived experiences of students to the heart of our work. Your perspective can help drive positive change for student mental health nationwide.
Pay
£13.45 per hour (in line with the Real Living Wage for 2025‑2026).
Key Responsibilities
- Offer feedback and recommendations on Student Minds’ strategies, policies, and student engagement.
- Share insights from your mental health experiences and university life to guide our work.
- Raise awareness about Student Minds within your networks and contribute new ideas.
- Attend six 1.5‑hour online meetings and one 3‑hour in‑person meeting each year, preparing by reviewing materials and sharing thoughts if unable to attend.
Who we’re looking for
We’re committed to a diverse SAC. Candidates should be a current student, recent graduate, or SU officer passionate about mental health and willing to volunteer. Each term lasts one year, with the option to reapply for a second.
Commitment
Attend the scheduled meetings and be responsive to direct contact from Student Minds within your area of expertise.
