About the role:
SLC have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Security Analyst to join our Cyber Security Incident Response Team within the wider Security department here at SLC. The successful candidate will have a proven record of working in a cyber incident response role, an excellent understanding of the external threat landscape and great communication skills. In this role, you will be assisting with leading the monitoring capability for all potential security incidents, responding to those in a timely manner and engaging with different stakeholders in relation to any ongoing incidents. You'll play a key part in strengthening SLC's security posture, helping us stay one step ahead of emerging threats and contributing directly to the protection of our customers and services. This is a chance to make a real impact in a fast-moving environment where your expertise will be valued and your ideas will help shape the future of our cyber defence capability.
What you bring:
- Good background in Cyber and Information Security, with experience in technical roles
- Proficiency in threat hunting, incident investigation, and analysis of security issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex information
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience in various platforms and SIEM tools
- Good knowledge of infrastructure systems, Networking Protocols and some cloud experience are desirable but not essential
