About the role:

We have an exciting Fixed Term opportunity for an Account Manager. This is for approx. 12 months.

Working within the Partner Services division, you will deliver an engagement programme of student finance information and guidance training (IAG) and awareness sessions to education providers and partners. Delivering all aspects of student finance IAG, the programme consists of personalised briefing sessions, seminars, workshops and provider / partner conferences.

As Account Manager, you will deliver value by forming a direct, collaborative relationship with stakeholders. This will maximise efficiencies and address change, operational delivery, problem resolution and policy assessments ensuring that:

  • The execution of full end-to-end processes for applications, assessment and payment to students and learners is enabled by dependable, timely and accurate information from service partners.
  • The end-to-end processes for payment to Delivery Partners achieve SLC “Pay” commitments.
  • The levels of satisfaction from service partners are high enough for SLC to receive support, endorsement and insight to enable continuous improvement.

Please note that extensive travel will be required to NW England and North Wales areas.

  • Track record of good time-management, with ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience at providing external-facing relationship management, and in managing business-to-business interactions.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and developing working practices, for self and others.
  • Flexibility on working hours and ability to travel extensively and regularly within UK, often overnight.
