Position Description
Position Summary
Responsible for serving students and employees (cafeteria style) in the main dining facility (Lottie Nelson Dining Hall). Positively interact with students, faculty, and staff as well as co-workers.

- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
Special Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be mentally and physically able to perform all essential job functions which require walking, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting. This position is essential; employees providing essential services must report to work as scheduled by their supervisor in the event of an emergency closing or delay.

- Follow proper food handling procedures and keep work area clean and sanitized
- Serve food items and support kitchen production as needed for all meals
- Wrap and label all food items with content and date and store properly after service
- Maintain open lines of communication with cooks regarding ensuring that additional pans of food are provided when the serving line becomes low
- Report any equipment failure to Dining Room Manager
- Be available to work a variety of shifts to support operational needs.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

- Attend department meetings and training sessions as scheduled
- Give direction to students making sure they follow procedures as outlines
