This position provides administrative and project support to the Department of Human Development and Family Science. Responsibilities include:
- Data entry
- Project and event coordination
- Website and social media maintenance
- Routine and new annual activities monitoring
- A high volume of general support responsibilities, which may include assistance in school-wide functions as necessary when determined by the dean.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative support/secretarial experience
Skills, Characteristics Required For Position:
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to communicate successfully across departments and with various constituencies, including external contacts
- Strong organizational skills, including time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities
- Strong computer proficiency including the ability to work independently in several of the Higher Education software packages, Excel and various databases as well as understand basic web design
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to effectively supervise work study students
