As the Chief Editor, you will be the senior editorial leader responsible for the content strategy and execution across the Stubben Edge media portfolio (savemoremoney, smallbusiness.co.uk, informationage, growthbusiness). Your primary mission will be to drive organic traffic acquisition and audience engagement through high-quality, authoritative content. You will develop and lead a central content-led growth strategy, oversee all editorial output, and play a crucial role in monetising our content through sponsored articles and innovative partnerships. This is a strategic leadership role for an editor passionate about building influential media brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide senior oversight for property-wide content planning, acting as the internal client for the editorial team.
- Source, commission, and ensure the quality control of all editorial content, with an initial focus on finance and insurance topics.
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at driving organic traffic acquisition (SEO) and audience engagement.
- Lead the development of a central, content-led growth approach for the entire media portfolio.
- Source and deploy monetizable content opportunities, including the fulfilment of sponsored content campaigns for clients.
- Oversee the effective integration of financial influencer partnerships and their content within the Stubben Edge media properties.
- Act as a leader and mentor to a team of content & organic media specialists, ensuring multidisciplinary expertise are focused on shared objectives & delivery.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Extensive background in a senior editorial or content leadership position.
- A background in finance and/or insurance journalism is highly preferable.
- Proven success in driving significant organic traffic growth through content and SEO strategies.
- Experience in managing editorial teams, freelancers, and maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Strong understanding of content monetization strategies, including sponsored and branded content.
- Experience in sourcing and managing influencer partnerships, preferably within the financial sector.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and strategic thinking skills.
