About Us
Founded in the 1940s, Stuarts (Volvo) Truck and Bus has gone from the humble beginnings of transporting cattle in a second-hand Dodge to a thriving multi-service family business. Today, we have expanded exponentially and boast automotive and vehicular services covering the whole of Devon and Cornwall. We are also proud to be the Volvo Truck and Bus only authorised Dealer in Devon and Cornwall. We are now looking for an HGV Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work alternating shifts with early shifts from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, and late shifts from 15:00 to 23:00, Monday to Friday, plus alternating Saturday mornings from 08:30 to 12:30.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will conduct repair and maintenance work on Volvo Trucks and Buses. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, you will collaborate with your team to provide a variety of services for customers, ranging from diagnostics to contracted maintenance. Additionally, you will:
- Assist in MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
- Ensure adherence to Volvo standards for vehicle repair and servicing
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient workshop environment
- Support the team in achieving service excellence for all customers
About You
To be considered as an HGV Technician, you will need:
- A City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
