Overview
Are you an experienced health and safety professional who has worked within a manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Group Health and Safety Manager to develop and maintain policies and procedures alongside creating a strategic vision. The successful candidate will enjoy a hands-on role and have dealt with multiple health and safety scenarios.
Position details: Permanent, Monday-Friday, Full Time, Gloucester.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor health & safety policies across the group, ensuring compliance and consistency with current legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and incident investigations to identify and prevent workplace hazards.
- Promote a positive safety culture by engaging employees in continuous improvement and awareness of their responsibilities.
- Deliver and coordinate training programs for employees, contractors and new starters
- Lead safety committees and reporting, maintaining accurate records and serving as the main contact for external bodies.
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Well versed with developing health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safety audits.
- Previous worked within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Full UK driving license
