The predicted salary is between 25 - 26 £ per hour.

We are currently seeking an additional Yard Operative for our Shropham depot. The main duties will be:

  • Unloading and loading lorries.
  • Assisting with machinery for hire.
  • Housekeeping of the depot.
  • Refuelling and cleaning of generators and equipment.
  • Checking equipment being returned from hire.
  • Completion of paperwork.
  • Delivery of equipment to customer sites as required.
  • Organising the warehouse and stock.

You will need to be physically fit as this role involves heavy lifting and is very hands on. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive attitude. Ideally already have a valid fork-lift licence but in-house training will be provided for the right candidate. This role would be suited to someone with mechanical/electrical interests.

Hours of work are typically Mon-Fri 08.00-17.30, however flexibility to suit the demands of the business is required.

Pay: From £12.44 per hour

Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday

Overtime

Work Location: In Person

Skills Required: Good time management, ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure. Comfortable working on own initiative.

Experience: yard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification: Forklift Licence (required), Driving Licence (required)
