We are actively recruiting an Accounts & Payroll Assistant for an established and growing Sheffield based business. This is a permanent part time role (30 hours a week) where there is flexibility as to whether to work 4 full days or 5 shorter days. The office is accessible from areas such as Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
To support the Finance team in maintaining and reporting accurate and timely financial information and preparation of weekly payroll. To support general day-to-day administration and office requirements for the Finance team.
Key Duties:- Weekly Payroll (approximately 140 staff)
- Manage Time & Attendance (T&A) to ensure minimal anomalies in reporting holidays, sickness, correct shift patterns etc.
- Review T&A output and analyse hours by earning type for data entry into payroll software
- Complete the payroll process including HMRC reporting
- Ensure robust Starter & Leaver documentation, process and filing
- Assist in the development of the T&A system to ensure accurate shift patterns and pay rules are set up to provide a reliable output for Management review
- Assist in the development of the import of T&A hours data to the payroll software
- Purchase Ledger/Administration:
- Receive deliveries/services against Purchase Orders capturing delivery notes in ERP system
- Process purchase invoices on ERP system, ensure match against PO and goods/services received capturing purchase invoice in ERP system
- Monthly Supplier Statement reconciliations
- Credit card reporting - manage distribution of statements to users and ensure complete, accurate and timely return of information - input into the accounts software
- Other office and administrative duties as required to support the Finance team
The ideal candidate will have time served experience within payroll and purchase ledger. Any further necessary training and support will be provided. The salary is £26,000 to £28,000 pro rata plus company benefits.
