We are actively recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer for a successful and established HVAC design and installation business. The head office is in Sheffield. The company is accredited to various recognised bodies including REFCOM Elite, CHAS, Safe contractor, and Constructionline.
Key Duties:
- Experienced and time served Engineer installing and working on a wide variety of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning VRF/VRV and split systems
- Working on a wide variety of centralised controllers, control panels and refrigeration controls/electrical circuits
- Commissioning of large VRF/VRV and split air conditioning systems
- Able to read drawings and schematics
- Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions
- Liaise with the projects department and company directors on a day to day basis
- Coordinate and control installations on site
- Where necessary liaise with the client to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
- Work in a safe and controlled manner following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client specific site requirements
- On-call rota to support the business achieve its 24/7/365 response (this is currently 1 in 10)
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer
- Ideally NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air conditioning
- You will require to be F-Gas and ideally EN 378 compliant
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports
- High quality workmanship
- You will be confident in your own ability
- Flexible to assist with call out rota, and if required out of normal working hours service
- Open to work on all types of mechanical systems where required
- Strong problem solving skills and a can do attitude
- Good electrical competence including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits
- Full Driving Licence
The role pays a £38,000 - £47,000 (depending on experience), plus bonus and overtime. The company offers an excellent holiday allowance, plus pension, company van and mobile phone. Interested candidates should apply now.
