We are actively recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for an established business in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. This is a permanent full-time Monday to Friday opportunity. The hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm.

We seek an experienced and extremely organised Warehouse Manager with overall responsibility for all warehouse operations. You must be able to work under pressure and pay careful attention to detail. You will be required to lead a group of staff and manage the allocation of work on a daily basis. You will be expected to provide the best possible service whilst ensuring a smooth operation at all times. You must be able to forward plan and maintain faultless administration of all warehouse operations. You will also be required, when necessary, to be hands-on in the warehouse.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure the warehouse runs efficiently by managing a wide variety of processes across goods in, internal stock movement and goods out.
  • Manage the communication between the warehouse and other departments such as stock control, sales, production and logistics.
  • Own and maintain an auditable end-to-end process that enables robust stock control and order processing.
  • Manage and maintain a fleet of vans, including the possibility of acquiring a 7.5t vehicle and managing an operator's licence.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all scheduled audits and stock checks and the relevant paperwork is being completed.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, maintaining the stock count and reconciliation process using relevant systems.
  • Manage space utilisation in the warehouse, ensuring proper segregation and easy access to stock.
  • Ensure internal stock movement is done according to operating procedures and recorded appropriately e.g. moving stock to production.
  • Manage warehouse staff workload by distributing tasks to the most relevant individuals.
  • Performance management of staff, including appraisals of job performance, timekeeping and attendance.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture within the warehouse making it second nature for all staff.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through observation and while undertaking activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A candidate with experience leading a warehouse and managing employees.
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse procedures and policy.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Experience of change management and continuous improvement is essential.

The salary is £37,500 to £40,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits.
