We are actively recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator for an established and growing business in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. This is a permanent full-time Monday to Friday role - 9.00am to 5.00pm (30 minutes for lunch). The role is based on-site in Gainsborough.
We seek a candidate who has a Logistics background, who is organised, has excellent attention to detail to ensure client orders are shipped efficiently and on time within the UK and overseas. Knowledge of the supply chain and import and/or export would also be of benefit.
Key duties in the role:
- Plan, coordinate and communicate deliveries and collections using in-house vehicles and third party carriers
- Completion of Vehicle Manifests and overview of vehicle dispatch
- Provide Drivers with clear and concise delivery instructions
- Ensure orders are complete prior to dispatch
- Maximise vehicle loads to ensure efficiencies
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery dates, requirements etc
- Respond positively to problems such as missing information, inventory discrepancies and shipment issues
- Communicate with the internal Customer Services team
- Process administrative duties against daily, weekly and monthly cut-offs
- Ensure each order is completed by filing the POD (proof of delivery)
- Ensure any delivery/installation non-conformances are reported to the sales and customer service team immediately
- Identify and implement continuous improvement in Logistics functions and processes
- Computer literacy - utilising MS Office and Sage
The salary is £28,000 to £30,000 per annum plus company benefits. The holiday allowance is 25 days plus the statutory days (33 in total).
