About the role

We are creating a new role within the business. The role is for someone who is multiskilled. The role will require the individual to travel the UK site surveying many diverse types of locations. This will range from professional sports grounds to quarries to industrial warehousing. They will be required to measure up the customer requirements. They will then need to be able to design and CAD draw this up within the design team and then look to estimate the BOM. It is a role that is extremely diverse and will require the individual to use all their creativity to produce new designs and ideas for customers, as well as draw up on CAD standard designs. The role will be working on sports grounds & halls, industrial yards, aggregate mines, Ports, concrete curing plants, and many other different and varied locations around the country. CAD experience is fundamental along with a very strong practical ability.

Main Duties and responsibilities

  • Site survey customer locations
  • Measure for the relevant product
  • CAD on Rhino to design in 2D and 3D
  • Understanding of CorelDRAW
  • Estimate through our existing pricing structures the job
  • Work closely with the design, sales and admin team
  • Work closely with the installation team once the job is confirmed to make sure that the job goes smoothly

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of site surveying and CAD drawing experience in a working environment
  • A clear proven record of being diligent with a keen eye for detail
  • Min of 2 years’ experience in a commercial environment of technical drawings using CAD

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree educated
  • Proficient in Rhino and can design in 2D and 3D
  • Proficient in using laser measuring equipment
  • Meticulous and highly organised
  • Good with numbers and proven to be diligent
  • Practical thinker
  • Strong IT skills
  • Full UK driving license
