We are currently looking for a Sports Cover Installer to join our tennis team. The role offers a range of working environments. During the off season you will be required to clean, repair and/or manufacture tennis covers at our facility in Warrington. During the tournament season you will be working outdoors as part of the install team and required to install tennis court covers at various venues throughout the UK, such as Wimbledon and Queens Tennis Club. Some European travel may also be required. This means between the end of April until mid‑July, during installs, and the months of August and September, for removals, the role will require you to stay away from home during most weeks and some weekends. On average you can expect to work away from the factory/home for around 4 months of each year. For this period of working, in addition to any overtime working rates, there will be a fixed overnight allowance payable. The successful candidate will receive full product training and be expected to complete a comprehensive training programme within two years.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and repairing of tennis covers.
  • The safe handling, storage, loading and unloading of covers at Stuart Canvas and onsite at the various venues.
  • The safe installation and removal of covers, pipes and accessories onsite at various tennis venues.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties as and when the company shall require.

Requirements:

  • Flexible with working hours/overnight stays.
  • Team player, working in a small team dynamic.
  • Familiar with the requirements of general labouring.
  • Good at problem solving and identifying faults.
  • Ability to work alone un‑supervised after training.
  • The successful candidate will need to have a full UK driving licence. An FLT licence would be an advantage.
