Tennis Manufacturing Operative / Installer

ROLE PURPOSE

To support the manufacture, cleaning, repair, installation, and removal of tennis court covers and associated equipment. The role is split between factory-based manufacturing during the off-season and on-site installation work during the tournament season meaning staying away from home for several nights a week (fully paid for).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacturing, Cleaning & Repair
  • Clean, repair, and manufacture tennis covers
  • Operate Triad wedge welders and hot air welders
  • Inspect and repair damaged covers
  • Assist with cutting, finishing, wrapping, and dispatch prep
  • Record activity in FactoryMaster
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Install and remove tennis court covers and accessories
  • Load, transport, and unload equipment safely
  • Work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Represent the company professionally onsite

  • Follow risk assessments and SOPs
  • Use PPE and comply with safety procedures
  • Report hazards and defects
  • Maintain quality standards

Team & Flexibility

  • Support colleagues across operations
  • Flexible working hours, overtime, and nights away
  • Assist with other reasonable duties

PAY, HOURS & OTE

  • Base rate: From £13/hour depending on the candidate
  • Standard hours: 39 per week
  • Potential OTE: £30k + per annum (this takes into account overtime and enhanced pay when on site)
  • 22 days holiday + BH

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Manufacturing or labouring experience
  • Strong health & safety awareness
  • Team player with flexible approach
  • Able to work unsupervised after training
  • Full UK driving licence with clean record
  • FLT or pallet truck licence
  • Experience working away from home

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Full equipment and product training provided
  • Progression to Skilled Operative / Senior Installer
