This role is critical to maintaining efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance within a busy Part 145 aircraft engine MRO environment. Position Overview
The Stores Operative supports the day-to-day operation of the warehouse by managing aircraft components, consumables, and documentation. This role ensures all materials are handled, stored, and issued in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. A flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the Stores and Components Warehouse
- Pick and issue aircraft parts and consumables to support maintenance activities
- Receive incoming deliveries and complete goods‑in processing
- Perform physical inspection of parts and validate accompanying documentation
- Ensure all materials are stored and handled in accordance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems as required
- Monitor shelf‑life expiry and manage controlled materials accordingly
- Conduct periodic stock checks and support inventory audits
- Support customs clearance processes where required
- Manage waste control and disposal in line with company and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Apply Human Factors awareness in all activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
