STS Aviation Services is hiring a B1 Licensed Engineer in Newquay, United Kingdom. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced CAA B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer with Airbus A319 and A320 type ratings to join our growing maintenance operation at Newquay Airport (NQY). The successful candidate will support base maintenance activities while ensuring all aircraft maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Position Overview
The B1 Licensed Engineer is responsible for performing and certifying aircraft maintenance activities within the scope of company approvals. This includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, supervision of technicians, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed efficiently while meeting strict aviation safety and compliance standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of customer aircraft including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
- Certification of maintenance within the scope of company approvals
- Provide leadership and supervision to aircraft mechanics and support staff
- Lead by example to maintain high standards of maintenance execution
- Ensure aircraft maintenance activities are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Support on time performance and technical dispatch reliability for airline customers
Skills & Experience
- CAA B1 Licence required
- Current CAA type certifications for Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- Previous base maintenance experience required
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic aviation maintenance environment
- Flexibility to meet changing operational requirements
