Health & Safety Officer for STS Aviation Services

STS Aviation Services is hiring a Health & Safety Officer in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As STS Aviation Services continues to expand across the UK, we’re seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to support our Birmingham hangar. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting directly to the Head of Safety Management. You’ll help drive a safe, compliant, and proactive safety culture as we continue to lead the aviation MRO space in the UK.

Please note: Only applicants who are UK citizens or those holding valid UK work authorization with at least two years remaining on their visa will be considered.

• Support and advise STS Aviation Services UK Ltd. on health and safety across all UK locations
• Monitor and improve health and safety standards, systems, training, and communication
• Promote a safe working environment with minimal health risks
• Ensure compliance with statutory health, safety, and welfare obligations
• Conduct regular reviews of risk assessments in coordination with management
• Investigate and document workplace incidents; support implementation of safety improvements
• Oversee execution of fire drills, inspections, and lone working protocols
• Help deliver and update safety policies, systems of work, and training procedures
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and training logs
• Stay current with relevant UK legislation and share updates internally
• Participate in safety meetings and report on key health and safety matters

• IOSH Managing Safely certification (required)
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Collaborative and process-driven mindset
• Skilled in data analysis and reporting for HSE metrics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
