STS Aviation Services is looking for experienced Aircraft Check Managers to join our expanding base maintenance operations in Manchester, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of maintenance inputs while adhering to regulatory compliance standards.

Position Summary:

STS Aviation Services is experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking passionate individuals to join our journey as a leading UK MRO provider. As an Aircraft Check Manager, you will manage and oversee the efficient delivery of allocated maintenance inputs, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Aircraft: Deliver allocated maintenance inputs on time, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the completion of assigned projects and company initiatives on schedule.
  • Team Leadership: Line-manage staff within your area of responsibility and ensure high-performance standards.
  • Certifications: Issue certificates of release for aircraft types within the scope of your QA044 Staff Authorization Document.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track task progress, report daily updates to senior management, and maintain logs of activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop solutions to meet maintenance targets within budget constraints while maintaining technical integrity.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with tool and husbandry audits, support quality audits, and assist in the creation of closure plans.
  • Safety and Development: Uphold Health and Safety standards, conduct performance appraisals, and support staff development.

Basic Requirements:

  • Category B Licensed Engineer with C certification by aircraft type. A330/A320 type ratings are required; additional ratings such as B787/B777/A330 are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Base Maintenance as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
