STS Group employs the best people, invests heavily in training and education ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety and governance are applied throughout the organisation *This company is an equal opportunities employer* Senior Quantity Surveyor Criteria: * 2 + years Post-Graduate experience with a Main Contractor/ Developer. * Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar area * Experience on large construction projects with a Main Contractor/ Developer * Commercial / Residential construction experience or similar * Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets. * Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings * Good communication skills * 3 or 4 days on site Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor * Reporting to the Commercial Manager * Advise on contractual matters – general and project level * Managing subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants * Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost * Undertaking internal valuations and production of cost reports * Reporting on budgets and variations * Negotiate and agree subcontractors
