Are you passionate about ensuring top-tier quality in supply chains? STS Defence is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gosport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving supplier performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Product focused assurance activities ensuring compliance to customer requirements. Ensure adherence to specific process controls, certifications and qualifications.
  • Facilitate internal non-conformance reports to conclusion using Quality RCA tools such as 8D, Ishikawa etc.
  • Reviewing and approving the company’s release documentation (e.g. CofC, FAIR).
  • Active part of the NPI gated process.
  • Conducting supplier audits, appraisals and supplier approvals.
  • Assisting and contributing to the Contract Review process.
  • Collate KPIs for Business Reviews.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting quality awareness and accountability throughout the organisation.

Qualifications, Experience And Skills

  • Lead auditor / internal & supplier auditor.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt.
  • Working knowledge of quality engineering in AS9100 production and project environment.
  • Proven and demonstrable ability in problem solving tools and non-conformance management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to provide clear and concise technical communications to internal teams, suppliers and external customers.
  • Experience of presenting technical data and root cause/corrective action activities.
